DV-2012 - Eligible Countries, Diversity Visa 2012
Important notice regarding DV-2012
The US Government regrets to inform the participants of this year's green card lottery (DV-2012) that due to a computer error in the US department of state systems, the results of diversity visa program 2012 (DV-2012) have been cancelled.
The US Department of State claims that any green card applicants who received notifications of winning the green card lottery, recieved those as a result of the error, and that the lottery is now void, as the results were not completely random, as required by the US law.
As a result, a new draw of winning green card applicants will take place, and the results will be published by July 15, 2011.
It is the first time that such an incident takes place, and the US government assures all diversity visa applicants that met the requirements of that year (DV-2012) lottery, that this time, the results will be valid and final.

* UK includes the following dependent areas: ANGUILLA, BERMUDA, BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS, CAYMAN ISLANDS, FALKLAND ISLANDS, GIBRALTAR, MONTSERRAT, PITCAIRN, ST. HELENA, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS. Note that for purposes of the diversity program only, Northern Ireland is treated separately and does qualify; Northern Ireland does qualify and is listed among the qualifying areas.)
** The HONG KONG S.A.R., MACAU S.A.R. and TAIWAN do qualify and are eligible.
